UC Berkeley School of Law Flooring Unification

Berkeley Law consists of multiple buildings that have been connected and added on to over the years. The design challenge was to create a cohesive flooring plan to unify the disparate buildings. My role in this project was to delineate the scope of work, create the flooring plan, communicate the specifications and details to the contractors, and help chose the flooring materials and colors.

Sanchez Adobe Interpretive Exhibit

Sanchez Adobe Park, located in Pacifica, California, was the site of a Native American village and outpost for San Francisco's Mission Dolores. The San Mateo Environmental Services Agency and the Parks and Recreation department sought a masterplan to guide the future of this rich historical resource. I gathered data from public meetings, conducted research and created an interpretive exhibit design plan graphic to accompany the masterplan.

Positive Behavioral Interventions Support Posters

Maya Lin School, an arts and inquiry based magnet school, has four guiding principles:

“Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be an Ally”.

The design challenge was to communicate actionable items relating to these principles across a mix of locations and situations.

I designed a series of posters structured around color and simple iconography to organize the messages. This poster series won a Silver Medal in the California State PBIS Coalition awards.

Wayfinding signage
University of California, Berkeley

As part of a three-year capital improvement project for Wheeler Hall, the UC Berkeley Office of the Registrar needed a network of signs to redirect students to different parts of campus.

My role in this project was to design the wayfinding system and a series of maps that were installed across the campus.

Minted notebooks and party goods

Minted is an online marketplace for independent designers. They use crowdsourcing to find fresh and unique graphic designs to feature on their products.

My designs for a notebook and a suite of party decor were selected and sold on Minted.com. In addition to being a Minted community designer, I also worked in-house as a Design Associate in the Operations group. I handled Quality Control for holiday and wedding products.

100 Days of Mint Wrappers

The 100 Day Project is a global initiative where participants choose some creative task, commit to doing it for 100 days, and share their progress on Instagram along the way. I chose to make something with a small mint wrapper every day. This stop animation video highlights some of the mint wrapper creations interacting with each other. The wrapper sculptures and the video were also featured at the Exploratorium.

Blu Dot Furniture in Food series

Blu Dot is a modern home furnishing company that values creativity, modern design and humor. In 2021 they ran a Blu Dot Swap Meet campaign to connect with design loving fans. I was honored when they chose my Swap Meet offer- a video a month of carved furniture in produce. These videos were shown on Blu Dot's Instagram page and also appeared in San Francisco's Exploratorium museum as part of their Art of Tinkering Saturday Cinema show.
